TV rights: the FFF postpones its calls for tenders for the Bleues and the women’s D1 to May 12

While, for lack of sufficient financial offers, FIFA has still not found broadcasters in most major European countries, including France, for the next Women’s World Cup (July 20-August 20)the French Football Federation (FFF), in search of broadcasters for the France team and the women’s D1 from next season, has postponed to May 12 the date for the submission of offers by the interested channels.

In a statement, it announced, without detailing the reasons, the eight-day postponement of the submission of offers, initially scheduled for May 4. The FFF is looking for broadcasters for the matches of the French women’s team between 2023 and 2027 (one lot) televised until February 2023 by the M6 ​​group.

Also concerned are the 2024, 2025 and 2026 editions of the Champions Trophies (one prize) and the Women’s D1 Championship, whose contract with Canal+ ends at the end of the season. The D1 matches between 2023 and 2027 are divided into three different lots, including one relating to the play-offs, a final phase introduced from next season.
