Reigning Olympic champion in this category, the French team is now world team champion. They beat Japan almost two years ago in Tokyo. Bis repeated this Sunday in Doha.

It was too difficult for Maxime-Gaël Ngayap Hambou. The Blue lost after a long golden score fight against Goki Tajima. Japan scores its first point but France leads 2-1.
A fourth fight which allows the French team to redo the break. Coralie Hayme won in the +70 kg category against Maya Segawa. A golden score victory and after a six-minute fight, thanks to the three shidos – synonymous with defeat – received by the Japanese. France leads 3-1.
The fifth fight does not smile on France. Joseph Therec bows after only two minutes on the tatami. The Frenchman received three shidos during this fight against Tatsuru Saito, in the +90kg category.
