The FFF expects a deficit of 4.7 million euros for 2023-2024
On the occasion of the last executive committee of the French Football Federation which was held on Thursday morning, the provisional budget for the 2023-2024 season was presented. The leaders of the body expect to date a deficit of 4.7 million euros as of June 30, 2024.
These losses can be explained in particular by the drop in the amount of TV rights for the Coupe de France, which fell from 23.5 to 16 million euros with the new contract. The FFF must also face additional charges, in particular with the reform of the amateur championships but also with the development plan for women’s football which will see, among other things, the creation of a French women’s futsal team.
For the budget for the current season, the FFF, during its meeting last June in Nice, expected a balanced exercise. The excellent course of the Blues at the World Cup in Qatar (finalists beaten by Argentina 3-3, 2-4 on pens) could improve it.
