In dantesque conditions in Carhaix (Finistère), the 25-year-old Frenchman won ahead of the Franco-German Markus Görger.

Jimmy Gressier, multiple European champion in the youth categories, was crowned French long cross champion (9,810 m) on Sunday in dantesque conditions in Carhaix (Finistère). Gressier (25), Olympic finalist in the 5,000m and bronze medalist of Euro cross 2021, dominated the Franco-German Markus Görger, who represents Germany internationally, and Fabien Palcau.

The race took place in continuous rain and on a course made very demanding by the mud.

Manon Trapp won a third women’s title ahead of Cécile Jarousseau and double long-trail world champion Blandine L’Hirondel.

Azeddine Habz, bronze medalist in the 1,500m indoor Euro in Istanbul last week, was crowned French cross-court champion (4,510m).
