COUNTERPOINT – For now, all the spotlight is on the battle for attractiveness. The stalemate on the redesign, at least for now, has at least four reasons.
How to make the “hundred days” a rebound opportunity? In this race against time, Emmanuel Macron has two levers at his disposal: that of political initiative and that of action. The stalemate on the redesign, at least for now, has at least four reasons. The first is the refusal of the Head of State to act under pressure or duress. Some urge him to replace Elisabeth Borne, others to change a bunch of ministers. It’s not necessarily that he lacks the desire, but he answers everyone: it’s me alone who decides. The second is that he wants to keep his hands free also against the one he appointed to Matignon just a year ago.
