In a preparation match for the World Cup, France wins in Norway
Currently training in Asker (Norway) to prepare for the next World Championship (May 12-28 in Finland and Latvia), the France team won against Norway (4-3) on Friday. The Blues thus signed a third consecutive victory in their preparation, after the two wins last weekend against Slovenia (4-3 Then 2-1 ap).
On Friday, the France team was also able to erase a two-goal deficit. The players coached by Philippe Bozon were indeed down 3-1 in the second period. They had entered the game well, however, thanks to a goal scored after 24 seconds by Justin Addamo, the forward of the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins in AHL. Addamo was also playing his first match in the Blue jersey.
Bertrand, Boudon and Texier revive France
But Norway equalized and managed to widen the gap, with in particular Andreas Martinsen who scored alone in front of Julian Junca, the French goalkeeper. Tim Bozon, the Lausanne striker, then found the post. Then the French reduced the gap on a cannonball from Charles Bertrand (38th) and equalized thanks to Louis Boudon who left on the counter-attack (44th).
And, three minutes from the end of the match, being outnumbered, France finally won, thanks to a nice goal from Alexandre Texier (57th), who will find the NHL rinks next season with the Columbus Blue Jackets. French and Norwegians will face each other again on Saturday (4 p.m.). This will be the last preparation match for the Blues before the World Cup.
