Esport – League of Legends: at MSI, G2 is present
Mission accomplished for G2 Esports. The European team, favorites in the preliminary round of the Mid-Season Invitational – the first international tournament of the season League of Legends -, won his place for the main draw, this Thursday. Frenchman Steven “Hans Sama” Liv and his teammates overcame PSG Talon (2-0), the best team in Taiwan, without impressing but imposing their rhythm. They join the other representative of the Old Continent, MAD Lions, automatically qualified for the top 8, which will start next Tuesday.
Qualified without trembling
Facing PSG Talon, the G2 showed the same face as during their victory against LOUD (2-0), Tuesday, in the first round, by being ultra-aggressive from the first minutes, under the influence of Rasmus “Caps” Winther. A strategy that paid off every time, even if they were stammering in the first part, almost squandering their advantage before recovering. Much more developed in the second round, they finally acquired their qualification without shaking and are full of confidence before measuring themselves against the best Asian representatives.
In the day’s other match, China’s Bilibili Gaming also qualified for the next round by dominating the Golden Guardians (2-1), who offered greater resistance than expected. Like PSG Talon, the Americans will still have a chance to join the top 8through the Last Chance Qualifier.
