Will we one day see e-sport appear on the program of the Olympic Games? Not everyone agrees on the subject. But the popularity of esports is growing and the sector is gaining economic weight. The League of Legends Worlds Finals, a strategic combat video game, is one of the most watched sports competitions in the world.
It has garnered tens of millions of viewers, most of them online, and produced prize money to the tune of half a million dollars in 2021 for the winners. In France the players represent a community of 9 million followers, 1.5 million of whom compete in amateur and professional competitions. Among the latter, the streamer Adrien Nougaret alias Zerator, active on Twitch and YouTube, has made it his full-time activity.

The young entrepreneur derives his income from sponsorship, merchandising and advertising made in partnership with publishers. He also took the time to co-create a charity event, the Z-Event , where we play to finance associations. Esports is on track to progress in a global video game market that weighs 185 billion dollars. A cake in which the Saudi Arabia wants to take a good share with a recent $5 billion acquisition in mobile video games.
