Doriane Escané and Clarisse Brèche heavily affected in the left knee
Bad news is piling up for the French ski team. After a season marked by the injuries and long-term absences of Thibaut Favrot, Victor Muffat-Jeandet, Matthieu Bailet and more recently Romane Miradoli, who will be operated on March 14 for a rupture of the cruciate ligament of the left knee after his crash in training at Kvitfjellthe FFS announced two new cases.
Victim of a fall last week during a European Cup race in Gallivare (Sweden), Doriane Escané suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and a crack in the internal meniscus of the left knee. For her part, Clarisse Brèche fell on March 7 during a slalom in Suomu (Finland), still in the European Cup, and also suffered from a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee.
The two athletes have an appointment this Friday in Lyon with doctor Jean-Marie Fayard to set an operation date.
